Youth Ministry Launches Nationwide “Teens Evangelism” Drive

The Church of Pentecost Youth Ministry on Saturday, November 26, 2022, launched the nationwide “Teens Evangelism” exercise at the church auditorium of the Pentecost International Worship Centre, Kaneshie (PIWC-Kaneshie). Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, the Patron of the ministry, who is also the Area Head for Kaneshie and an Executive Committee Member of The Church of Pentecost, announced the theme: “In Him is Life” (John 1:4) during the official launch ceremony. The National Science and Maths Quiz mistress, Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann has launched a not-for-profit foundation to enhance Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education in Ghana. The foundation, Elsie Effah Kaufmann Foundation (EEKF), seeks to help bridge the current deficit in STEM related programmes in Ghana by providing the necessary tools needed for a thorough and practical study of the subjects. The EEKF would also provide training for science teachers to better equip them for the teaching of the subject in a way that would inspire the students to further in STEM courses. In the advent of repackaging the activities of teenagers in The Church of Pentecost, the Youth Ministry, on Sunday, May 28, 2022, relaunched teen ministry. This was necessitated to help transition teens from the Children’s Ministry of the Church into the mainstream church through the Youth Ministry. History was made Sunday night [March 20, 2022] as PENT TV, a Christian television station owned by The Church of Pentecost, was officially migrated unto the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) platform, making it a free-to-air television station. The colourful launch was performed by the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, at the church’s Headquarters at La in Accra where the TV station is located.
