Asokwa District Embarks On Convoy Evangelism
The Asokwa District of The Church of Pentecost on Sunday, October 29, 2023, embarked on a convoy evangelism in the principal streets of Asokwa in Kumasi to observe Gospel Sunday.
The event, according to the District Minister, Pastor Joseph Asamoah Boakye, was to propagate the Gospel message of Christ in a restructured approach to save the perishing. He explained that it was necessary to adopt an innovative approach to draw the attention of many and connect them with the word of God for salvation.
Pastor Asamoah Boakye stressed that the event is key in fulfilling the Church’s Vision 2023 agenda of “Possessing the Nations.”

Vision 2028 Unveiled
Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, has unveiled a new vision for the church, dubbed ‘Vision 2028.’
The new vision is expected to cover the periods between 2023 and 2028 with the theme, “Possessing the Nations Part 2 – Unleashing the Whole Church for the transformation of their world with the values and principles of the kingdom of God.”
The unveiling of Vison 2028 was held on the sidelines of the 2023 November Heads Prayer Meeting currently underway at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa, on Monday, November 13, 2023.

2023 Heads Meeting Opens
The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, on Monday, November 13, 2023, officially opened the 2023 November Heads’ Prayer Meeting at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa in the Central Region.
The Heads Prayer Session is an annual meeting of all Apostles, Prophets, Area and National heads from the 151 nations worldwide to pray and fast for the church and discuss the church’s theme for the ensuing year.
Apostle Nyamekye, in his opening address, implored the participants to see themselves as representing constituencies, charging them to remember their obligations as ministers of God and fulfil them with great dedication to the glory of God.

The Church of Pentecost has inducted Apostle Eric Nyamekye into office for a second term as the Chairman of the church for another five years.
He was re-elected during the church's 46th General Council Meeting at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region in May this year.
He is mandated to steer the affairs of the church to ensure its spiritual and physical growth, as well as to contribute to the development of the nation as a whole.

Ghana needs hostile environment for corruption – Apostle Nyamekye
Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of the Church of Pentecost (CoP) says the country needs an environment that is hostile to corruption.
“We must create an environment that is hostile to corruption of water bodies, beaches, immorality, false judgements, and favouritism..”, he said.
Apostle Nyamekye said this at the 2023 National Development Conference of the Church of Pentecost at Gomoa-Fetteh in the Central Region.
The two-day event, which is in partnership with the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), is to discuss the need for a national moral vision for national development.

ABIDJAN TO HOST 45TH CAF GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON JULY 13
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has settled on Cote D’Ivoire as the host country for the 45th CAF General Assembly. The Assembly which was originally scheduled for Benin will now take place in Abidjan due to unavailability of venue in Cotonou following a recent visit by CAF General Secretary Veron Mosengo-Omba.
