In collaboration with various churches, the Great Commission Movement of Ghana has successfully hosted the ‘Digital Champions Summit 2024’ at the Trinity Theological Seminary in Accra. The day’s event aimed to equip Christian digital missionaries with modern evangelism techniques through digital media. Dr Paul Nsiah, a senior lecturer at the University of Cape Coast, opened the summit with a sermonette, urging Christians to utilise digital platforms for evangelism. The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost and President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has charged security forces in Ghana to create a hostile environment to stem the activities of illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey. The first edition of the Sign Language Interpreters Conference, organised by the Ministry to Persons With Disabilities (MPWDs) of The Church of Pentecost, has been held at the Pentecost Convention Centre in Gomoa-Fetteh. The groundbreaking event, which was aimed to equip sign language interpreters, both psychologically and spiritually, took place from September 13-14, 2024. It was attended by 120 sign language interpreters. PENSA-KNUST Rural Evangelism Yields 1,778 Souls; 2 New Assemblies Opened

The Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), in collaboration with the Konongo and Bekwai areas of The Church of Pentecost, won a total of 1,778 souls during a recent rural evangelism activity. Of these, 1,563 were won through the main evangelistic activities, and 215 were won through outreach to schools. Consequently, 577 individuals were baptised in water, and 492 received the Holy Ghost baptism. The evangelistic activities also led to the opening of two new assemblies: Patriensa Kolas Assembly and Konongo Ekoso Assembly. The Acting General Manager of Pent Radio-Kumasi, Elder Nana Mainoo, along with the Larweh family, have donated 30 plastic chairs valued at GH¢3,700.00 to the Larwehkrom Assembly in the Sefwi-Bekwai Low Cost District of The Church of Pentecost. Nana Afrakoma became queen at the age of 18 and is recognised as the leader of all Queen Mothers in Ghana due to her extensive experience and peaceful leadership. Over 4,000 breast cancer cases are recorded in Ghana every year. Limited awareness of the disease, inadequate screening and treatment centres have been some of the factors driving the increase in infections. Dr Mrs Beatrice Wiafe Addai, Chief Executive of Breast Care International, who stated this, said breast cancer had become a significant public health concern claiming the lives of many women in Ghana. Speaking at the launch of the 2024 Walk for Cure, an annual national breast cancer awareness program in Kumasi, Dr Wiafe Addai bemoaned the continuing stigma and myths surrounding breast cancer.
