The President of the World Pentecostal Fellowship, Rev. Dr. William Wilson, has declared that the world is witnessing “the greatest generational revival in history,” saying young people, particularly Generation Z, are demonstrating an unprecedented hunger for Jesus Christ.
Delivering brief remarks during Day Two of the Pentecost Conference 2026 in Oberhausen, Germany, Rev. Wilson expressed optimism about the future of the global Church, describing the current generation as one that is passionately embracing authentic Christianity.
“I am convinced that we are in the middle of the greatest generational revival in the history of the world,” he told delegates. “Generation Z is hungry for Jesus. They are authentic, and they are on fire for God.”
He urged the Church to continue encouraging and empowering young people, adding that they are assuming greater responsibility in advancing the Kingdom of God.
“We are championing them and cheering them on as they take the stage and responsibility in our day,” he said.
Rev. Wilson, who also serves as President of Oral Roberts University, commended The Church of Pentecost for its growing global influence, describing it as one of the world’s largest indigenous Spirit-empowered movements.
Having recently visited Kenya before travelling to Germany, he noted that his interactions with Church of Pentecost leaders across different continents had left him deeply impressed by the denomination’s integrity, humility and visionary leadership.
He paid tribute to Chairman Apostle Eric Nyamekye and former Chairman Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, describing both as leaders who have distinguished themselves through integrity, humility and exceptional grace in leadership.
“If they are any representation of this movement, you are amazing,” he remarked. “I am so proud of what God is doing in The Church of Pentecost.”
Rev. Wilson also conveyed greetings from Oral Roberts University, where a number of Church of Pentecost members are pursuing higher education. He praised them as outstanding students and thanked the Church for continually sending young men and women who exemplify academic excellence and Christian character.
He further extended greetings from Pentecostal and Charismatic believers around the world, affirming that God is moving powerfully across the nations.
