Handling Conflicts At The Workplace Using Jesus’ Template

Pentecost News
“Do Good to Those Who Hate You” – Luke 6:27-36 We all have had or been involved in one form of conflict in our workplace or the marketplace. Thus, we have all seen or experience conflict. So it is part of life, we cannot avoid it entirely because we do not control other people’s emotions and actions. But in Luke 6:27-36, Jesus Christ gave a beautiful and life-transforming roadmap to address situations of conflict. He says “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you” (Luke 6:27-28). Wow! Is this possible at all? So Jesus, you are saying that I should pray for those I know are my enemies, those who wish that I don’t get that promotion, those who desire I fail and set trap for me? I should do good to them? Are you serious Jesus?...

Ghana’s Dancing Pallbearers sell meme NFT for $1 million, 2 years after going viral

One of the most unique phenomena that marked 2020, apart from the Covid-19 pandemic, was a rather morbid trend. Taking over social media timelines was the group of young men trying to turn funerals into rather hearty transitions. They are pallbearers from Ghana who won the hearts of the world with their stylish movement while conveying caskets of bodies to their final destinations during final funeral rites. Videos went viral depicting the team demonstrating their casket-carrying skills by orchestrating a choreographed routine, lifting it and lowering it, and even sitting on the floor if need be. https://twitter.com/BBCAfrica/status/1250728712628244481?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1250728712628244481%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%...

Africa News, International, World News
Hypocrisy is “one of three systems that rules the world”, President Paul Kagame said, while condemning powerful countries for their reaction to the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. Mr Kagame said that powerful countries idly watched the genocide happen, and so “have no lessons to teach anyone” and accused them of “covering up their responsibility” by talking about justice and democracy. “There are three systems that govern the world, one is called democracy, the other is called autocracy, the third in between - most powerful, very silent, effective - and that is hypocrisy”, Mr Kagame said. At Kigali genocide memorial centre, while officiating the start of a remembrance period for the genocide, Mr Kagame, a former rebel leader, said his forces avoided killings in reprisals as they were tak...
