Pernod Ricard Ghana’s planting of 10,000 trees begins at Moree

In line with its efforts to preserve the environment and ecosystems, Pernod Ricard Ghana, a subsidiary of the Pernod Ricard group, a leading producer of wines and spirits, in collaboration with Green Republic Project has targeted to plant 10,000 trees over the month of June. The project was launched in Moree, in the Central Region, on June 5th, to mark World Environmental Day. To begin the tree-planting project, Pernod Ricard Ghana planted 1500 trees in Moree out of the 10,000 targeted trees. AstraZeneca supports agroforestry, forest restoration : To plant 4.5 million trees by 2025

AstraZeneca has partnered the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance (CBA) to support farmers in the Bono East Region through the Living Lab project to improve soil fertility in the region and to also support the farmers to plant cash crops such as cashew. This is to help the farmers to improve and diversify their incomes. The five-year project also seeks to restore the forest landscape of the Atebubu and Wiase forests, and will see the planting of 4.5 million trees by 2025. Ministers of The Church of Pentecost have been encouraged to make it a habit of planting and nurturing trees as part of their day-to-day activities. This appeal was made by the General Secretary, Apostle Alexander Kumi-Larbi, when he planted a tree at the premises of the Bolgatanga Central Assembly on Friday, June 25, 2021, as part of a three-day duty visit to the Upper East Region. During his visit, the General Secretary saw to the planting of nine trees, three of which he planted himself.
