The Namong District in the Wa Area of The Church of Pentecost has once again demonstrated its commitment to community development by donating educational items to 123 candidates for the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Wa East District.
The timely intervention forms part of the Church’s broader vision of transforming societies through the values and principles of the Kingdom of God, making the Gospel practical and tangible in the lives of people.
The donation benefited six basic schools, namely Kulkpong D/A JHS with 49 candidates, Jayiri D/A JHS with 24 candidates, Burayiri R/C JHS with 11 candidates, Konta Methodist JHS with five candidates, Bonar D/A JHS with 18 candidates, and Kparisaga R/C JHS with 16 candidates, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 123.
Each candidate received essential educational items, including mathematical set, long ruler, pens, and pencils to support their preparation for the exams, which begins on Monday.
Speaking during the presentation, the District Minister, Overseer Joseph Kyei Asomaning, encouraged the candidates to remain focused, disciplined, and confident as they approach their examinations. He also offered heartfelt prayers for their success and divine guidance.
The gesture was met with overwhelming joy and appreciation from both teachers and students. They commended The Church of Pentecost for its consistent support and commitment to education in the community.
