ABIDJAN TO HOST 45TH CAF GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON JULY 13

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has settled on Cote D’Ivoire as the host country for the 45th CAF General Assembly. The Assembly which was originally scheduled for Benin will now take place in Abidjan due to unavailability of venue in Cotonou following a recent visit by CAF General Secretary Veron Mosengo-Omba. The process of identifying a new venue took into account the statement by President Dr. Patrice Motsepe that ‘’the hosting of CAF competitions and events should be rotated and held in all the 6 CAF Zones without compromising the quality and the world-class infrastructure and facilities in which CAF competitions and events should take place’’. Man Utd target Rabiot signs new Juve deal

GFA condemns assault on female referee in Northern Region

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) in the Northern Region has condemned Napari Suheru for assaulting a female referee during a Division 1B football match near the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale on June 17, 2023. The Northern Regional Football Association Secretary, Abdul Gafaru Abdul Karim described Mr. Suheru as a lovely person who is well-known in the footballing fraternity in the region and so it came as a surprise when news of his actions broke out. Asamoah Gyan retires from active football

Ghana defeated Nigeria 3-1 on penalties to win the first edition of the WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup in Kumasi. The Black Princesses took a first half lead through captain Stella Nyamekye in the 38th minute as she converted a spot. Jose Mourinho charged for using abusive language towards official at Europa League final

Roma coach Jose Mourinho has been charged by Uefa for using insulting or abusive language against an official at Wednesday’s Europa League final. The Portuguese, 60, was booked by English referee Anthony Taylor in Budapest, where Sevilla beat his Roma side on penalties after a 1-1 draw. Ghana beat Nigeria in final to win inaugural WAFU B U-20 Girls’ Cup

The Black Princesses of Ghana completed the host and win assignment on Saturday, June 3, as they beat Nigeria in the final of the WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations. Tariq Lamptey Foundation donates football kits and equipment to two schools in Asamankese

Black Stars defender, Tariq Lamptey, together with his charity institution, Tariq Lamptey Foundation, on Tuesday, May 30, were in Asamankese to make a donation to two schools as part of his annual activity. The donation is part of Tariq’s yearly charity works in Ghana which he started five years ago during his time at Chelsea.
