                  King Faisal edged Nsoatreman FC 3-2 in the semifinal of the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup at the Dr. Kwame Kyei sports complex on Sunday. The five-goal thriller was well attended by top football executives including President Simeon Okraku and Dr. Kwame Kyei, President of Division One League side Nations FC. Others included Wilson Arthur, President of Skyy FC and chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, Vice chairman Kofi, George OfosuHene and Donne Komako - committee members of the FA Cup committee. Former Black Stars midfielder, Michael Essien, has explained his decision not to rush into taking coaching jobs as he believes gaining more experience could be essential to his success in the role. Essien recently brushed aside talks of him becoming the head coach of the senior national team at some point in his coaching career, saying ‘he’s not interested.’ The former Chelsea man has been working on his coaching license since retiring from football and recently acquired his UEFA A and UEFA Elite Youth coaching licenses. Thousands of fans lined up on the the streets of Bueno Aires to cheer the team the the historic feat achieved on Sunday in Doha. Captain Lionel Messi stepped off the plane first, holding the gold trophy aloft, followed by his triumphant team onto a red carpet at the airport, greeted by reporters, officials and a live band.
