The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, has stated that the newly-unveiled theme of the Church places a great deal of emphasis on the local church because it is the strength of the Church and the place where real practical ministry and congregational life take place.
“Actual church membership is found at the local level; district and area membership are only a culmination of membership at the local level. So, the real action is at the local church; this is why we are going back to the grassroots,” he said.

The International Missions Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, has observed that members are the strength and the greatest resource of the church.

After 12 years of questions, criticisms and conjecture, the Fifa World Cup in Qatar will finally get under way on Sunday.

Preterm birth is not spiritual; it is a medical condition – Medical Officer
A senior medical officer at the Manhyia government’s Hospital Mother and Baby Unit has urged parents to disregard wild beliefs that preterm birth is a spiritual condition and to insist on quality medical care for their babies.
According to Dr. Yaa Dufie Amo-Mensah, many mothers are discouraged from seeking quality medical attention at health facilities and instead seek treatment from herbalists and spiritualists.
According to her, such parental decisions exacerbate the condition of their babies.
“You know premature babies, some people call them ‘Nsuo ba’ or ‘Bosom ba’ so then they rather think that herbal preparations and other things (can cure the illness) which rather worsens the condition,” Dr. Amo-Mensah noted.

Be Deliberate In Raising Family Altars – Apostle Nyamekye Tells Parents
The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has challenged Christian parents to be deliberate and consistent in raising family altars in their homes.
He was of the view that excuses made by fathers who are expected to act as pastors in their homes to be absent from family devotions were not consistent with godly principles in raising children and as role models.
“Make time to be present and participate in the family devotion as the father-pastor,” he said, adding: “Don’t give excuses in the name of preparing to meet deadlines.”
According to him, family worship should be consistent, saying that “consistency is one of the strongest ingredients or components in achieving success in all endeavours.”

Promote Personal Devotions In The Local Church – Apostle Antwi Tells Leaders
The Cape Coast Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Yaw Antwi, has charged church leaders to promote and encourage personal devotions as an avenue in repositioning the local church to possess the nations.
According to the Executive Council Member, the local church should be seen as the focal point for the implementation of Vision 2023, which is the 5-year strategic plan of the church.
“Church leaders must, therefore, consider reviewing and strategizing activities of the local church towards this implementation,” he stated.
