Lamashegu District Women’s Ministry Donates To Tamale Central Prison

The Lamashegu District Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost demonstrated Christ-like compassion on Saturday, May 10, 2025, by donating essential items worth GHS 4,300 to inmates of the Tamale Central Prison. The gesture, which is part of the Church’s “Possessing the Nations” agenda, combined material support with a strong spiritual message, reaffirming the Church’s mission to reach out to the marginalised and forgotten in society. As part of this year’s National Evangelism Week celebration, the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) – Obuasi extended love and support to the Obuasi Local Prisons through a significant donation. The church donated a Yamaha keyboard, a guitar, and a combo amplifier to support the prison’s music initiatives. Additionally, assorted medications worth GHS 10,000.00 were presented to the prison infirmary. The donation also included 50 bags of sachet water and a variety of toiletries, bringing the total value of items donated to over GHS 23,000.00. The Ebenezer Assembly in the Otsenkorang District of The Church of Pentecost now has a newly constructed church building, largely funded by the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Graceland. The church building, constructed at a total cost of GHS 158,550.00, was dedicated to the glory of God on May 11, 2025, in a special ceremony officiated by Pastor Adjei-Nimako Darkwa, Agona Swedru Area Head. Of the total amount, PIWC-Graceland contributed GHS 120,000.00, while the remaining funds were raised through the support of the Agona Swedru Area (GHS 31,750.00), Otsenkorang District (GHS 4,000.00), and the local assembly (GHS 2,800.00).
