The Women’s Ministry of PIWC-Navrongo in the Bolgatanga Area of The Church of Pentecost has rehabilitated the Navrongo District Magistrate Court as part of activities marking the 2026 National Women’s Ministry Week celebration.
The exercise, which took place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, cost approximately GHS 4,000.00 and was funded through donations from members of the ministry.
Activities carried out included sweeping the court premises, replacing torn window nets, and repainting the entire court building to improve its appearance.
The PIWC-Navrongo Women’s Ministry Leader, Deaconess Cynthia Akwodoba, explained that the initiative was inspired by the theme for the week-long celebration: “Women Unleashed: Transforming Our Society.”
According to her, the women identified the court building and its surroundings as an area within the community that needed attention and decided to undertake the project to give the facility a facelift.
“We combed through our community and identified that the District Magistrate Court building and environment needed transformation, so we decided to give it a facelift,” she stated.
The Resident Pastor of PIWC-Navrongo, Pastor Eric Asante, who actively participated in the exercise, commended the Women’s Ministry for the initiative. He noted that the project demonstrated that societal transformation goes beyond activities carried out within the walls of the church.
He also expressed appreciation to all the women who contributed financially towards the project, as well as Brother Ceaser Diise, who painted the building free of charge as his contribution to the exercise.
