EOCO releases wanted persons list

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has released a list of three persons wanted in connection with various criminal activities. The list, which was shared on Twitter, contains the details of Ezekiel Mensah Otoo, Nicholas Gyekye, and Derrick Obeng, a.k.a Chiling. Ezekiel is wanted for alleged offences of stealing and involvement in SIM swap fraud. In the case of Nicholas Gyekye, the EOCO has not stated what crime he is alleged to have committed but has urged members of the public to provide information on the said Nicholas Gyekye through a phone number. The third person on the list, Derrick Obeng, is being sought after by the EOCO for allegedly stealing, defrauding by false pretence and money laundering. The Ghana Navy in collaboration with the Naval Wives Association (NAWA) have donated food, sanitary and clothing items worth thousands of cedis to the Methodist Rafiki Satellite Village at Gomoa in the Central Region, on Saturday 13 May 2023.  The gesture formed part of their Corporate Social Responsibility to climax this year’s Mother’s Day celebration.  The President of NAWA, Salamatu Yakubu, who is also the spouse of the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) said the donation was to reach out to the vulnerable and less privileged in society. Following continuous reduction in prices of petroleum products in recent weeks, transport operators have agreed to review fares downwards effective Wednesday, May 17, 2023. The decision was announced in a statement released by the Road Transport Operators on Monday, May 15.
