Chief Executive Officer of the Mckeown Group of Companies, Kwaku Adu Aninkorah, has lamented the lack of integrity among Ghanaian workers.
He however says the low minimum wage paid workers partly accounts for theft at workplaces.
There have been several conversations on the negative attitude of Ghanaian employees towards work. This has been frustrating to business owners.
Many employees have been reported stealing, and contributing to the collapse of many businesses.
But Mr. Aninkorah says lack of proper structures at the workplace, including record keeping and tax payment, makes it difficult to report theft to the Police.
Speaking to David Akuetteh on Luv In the Morning on Luv FM, he said “integrity has come to naught. It is time to demonstrate honesty even a...
A total of 23,495 people in Ghana tested positive for HIV in the first half of this year (January to June).

“The figure for this new infection is too high, so we need to intensify education to let people know that HIV is still real; …We have to let people know that they need to stick to the prevention strategies…,” he said.
Dr. Ayisi Addo said most of the 23,495 people who tested positive had since been put on HIV treatment.
He attributed the figures to complacency and ignorance explaining that awareness creation on the part...

Scotland has become the first country in the world to make period products free for all.
There is now a legal duty on local authorities to provide free items such as tampons and sanitary pads to “anyone who needs them”.
Products will be distributed through councils and education providers as the Period Products Act comes into force.
MSPs unanimously approved the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Bill in November 2020.
The bill was introduced by Labour MSP Monica Lennon, who has been campaigning to end period poverty since 2016.
She said: “Local authorities and partner organisations have worked hard to make the legal right to access free period products a reality.
“This is another big milestone for period dignity campaigners and grassroots mov...

Two Ethiopian Airlines pilots fell asleep while flying a flight from Sudan’s Khartoum to Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa and missed their landing.
The incident took place on Monday, according to Aviation Herald, which added that the Air Traffic Control (ATC) raised an alert when flight ET343 approached the airport but did not start the descent.
While the pilots fell asleep, the Boeing 737’s autopilot system kept the plane cruising at 37,000 feet, the outlet further said.
It further said that the aircraft remained on the ground for about 2.5 hours before departing for its next flight.
The ATC tried to contact the pilots several times but couldn’t succeed. When the plane overflew the runway where it was supposed to land, the autopilot disconnected. That triggered an alarm, wh...
