WhatsApp will no longer work on these smartphones – Full list [update]

International, Science & Technology
Older devices frequently quit supporting WhatsApp, and the newer ones are released. In fact, as of December 31, 2022, the messaging app would no longer work on more than 49 devices. This article contains the complete list. WhatsApp releases updates often, and occasionally older handsets can no longer keep up. So, for instance, on iPhones running iOS 10 and iOS 11, the widely used messaging app stopped functioning on October 24, 2022. Also, this time, only two iPhones will lose access to the messaging app alongside a bunch of old Android smartphones. Of course, we’re talking about smartphones from a few years ago, so there’s a good chance you’ve since upgraded to a newer model. However, it is normal to see outdated smartphones in use today. Sadly, i...

Pursue God’s Favour In The New Year – Apostle Kumi-Larbi Tells Christians

Ghana News, International, Pentecost News
The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, has advised Christians to resolve in the New Year to obtain God’s favour at all cost. According to him, pursuing divine favour, which he also describes as the Lord’s approval, would bring upon an individual untold blessings, cause God to make worthwhile interventions in their circumstances, and connect them to their destiny. Apostle Kumi-Larbi revealed this in a sermon at the Osu Central Assembly church auditorium during the recently-held 31st December watchnight service. Speaking on the topic “The Highly Favoured One,” the General Secretary explained that the manifestation of God’s abiding presence in the life of an individual is what reflects as the favour of God.  He, however, stre...

Here’s everything Wall Street expects in 2023

International, World News
It may be one of the most anticipated recessions of all time, but that doesn’t mean it won’t hurt. Barclays Capital Inc. says 2023 will go down as one of the worst for the world economy in four decades. Ned Davis Research Inc. puts the odds of a severe global downturn at 65%. Fidelity International reckons a hard landing looks unavoidable. To kickstart the new year, Bloomberg News has gathered more than 500 calls from Wall Street’s army of strategists to paint the investing landscape ahead. And upbeat forecasts are hard to find, threatening fresh pain for investors who’ve just endured the great crash of 2022. As the Federal Reserve ramps up its most aggressive tightening campaign in decades, the consensus view is that a recession, albeit mild, will hit both sides o...

Pope Benedict XVI: Thousands pay respects at the Vatican

International, World News
Thousands of people have been paying their respects to former Pope Benedict XVI at his lying in state in the Vatican. He died on New Year’s Eve at the age of 95, almost a decade after he stood down because of ill health. Pope Francis will preside over Thursday’s funeral – the first time a Pope will be buried by his successor. As dawn broke over the Vatican, a queue had already formed at the edge of St Peter’s Square. At the very front was Father Alfredo Elnar, 30, from the Philippines. He said he had studied and admired the theological writings of the former pontiff, and spoke of an emptiness since his death. A little further back, Sister Marianna Patricevic, a nun from Croatia, talked of how grateful she was for all the late pope had done – saying there was not a subj...
