NIA to resume new registrations on August 28

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has officially announced the resumption of the registration and issuance of Ghana Cards to eligible Ghanaians aged 15 years and above who are applying for the first time. This service, which will be offered free of charge, is set to commence on August 28, 2023. The NIA will facilitate this registration process through eight out of its 16 Regional Offices and all 276 District Offices located across the country. The NIA has received a total of 484,000 blank cards from its technical partners, Identity Management Systems II Limited (IMS II), and CalBank PLC.
