Pastor Edward Brains Agidi-Quarshie of the Church of Pentecost, Sogakope Area has called on believers to make a clear distinction between their business, church, family and friends to ensure sustained business growth. “You need to toughen your mindset to grow your business,” he emphasised.
The man of God made these remarkable statements during a one-day business summit held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Sogakope District, English Assembly Auditorium.
He highlighted that the 2028 Possessing the Nations Agenda calls for believers to view their businesses as ministries rather than mere money-making ventures. This perspective, he noted, is crucial for making God a partner in their businesses. “Invest in prayer to allow God to influence your business,” he added.
Referencing scriptures such as Psalm 16:3 and Psalm 24:12, Pastor Agidi-Quarshie stressed the importance of involving God in business through prayer as it aligns one’s business with God’s agenda or purpose. However, he cautioned that, prayer alone is insufficient without implementing disciplinary measures and adhering to guiding principles.
The man of God advised believers to maintain a mission-minded approach in their businesses. “Do not cheat or engage in the sale of expired or unhealthy products such as alcohol, cigarette and weed,” he urged.
He indicated that business growth requires more than just entrusting operations to God through prayer. Believers must also focus on key principles to ensure success.
Pastor Edward Brains Agidi-Quarshie reminded participants that, businesses are not philanthropical entities but profit-driven ventures. As such they should avoid the practice of gifting products to church leaders, family or friends. “Know when to give, how to give, and where to give if you want to stay in business.”
He encouraged participants to develop a personal interest in their trade, avoid following the crowd, build your brand and develop an effective customer relationship. Do not consider your business as just a vocation but as a ministry, he said.
Pastor Agidi-Quarshie further highlighted additional recommendations to enhance their businesses. These include investing in personal development, assembling a competent technical or production team, maintaining operational efficiency through regular stock-taking, upgrading with modern technologies, and practicing financial discipline, to name just a few.
The summit served as a timely reminder for believers to integrate faith with sound business practices while keeping their focus on God’s purpose for their enterprise.
In attendance were the Area Head’s wife, Mrs. Cynthia Agidi-Quarshie, and a cross section of Ministers and their wives.
