In a spirit-filled and memorable gathering on Tuesday, 25th November 2025, The Church of Pentecost, Sabuli District in the Wa Area, launched the Sabuli Community Development and Transformation Project, a major initiative designed to advance holistic and sustainable development in Sabuli and its surrounding communities. Anchored on Vision 2028, which seeks to unleash the full potential of the Church for the transformation of society through Kingdom values and principles, the project focuses on practical interventions that respond to critical needs in education, health, livelihoods, moral development, and environmental care.
Speaking at the ceremony, Probationary Overseer Ebenezer Enyinful, Sabuli District Minister, explained that the project rests on five major pillars; spiritual and moral development, education and youth development, health and social welfare, economic empowerment, and environmental care. He noted that the Church is committed to building structures and systems that strengthen families, equip the youth, improve community health, and enhance local economic resilience.
The launch was marked by the announcement of several strategic interventions aimed at supporting key community institutions. The Sabuli Clinic received a donation of clinical instruments such as a foetal Doppler, pulse oximeters, thermometers, and weighing scales, alongside essential consumables, hygiene supplies, and administrative equipment, including a laptop and printer to enhance service delivery. Schools within the Sabuli Circuit – Gbare, Saawie, Zooh, and Sawali – also benefited from the distribution of 4,000 exercise books and other learning materials. Additionally, the district is running extra classes every Sunday evening for all JHS students to improve academic performance and reduce the financial burden on parents. Community members further received free NHIS registration and renewals as part of the health support component.
The ceremony drew significant institutional presence, including the Municipal Chief Executive for Jirapa, Hon. Peter N. N. To-Ang; the Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Huudu, and his team; representatives from the Municipal Health Directorate; traditional authorities; school heads; health workers; and officials from the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG). Their participation highlighted the strong partnerships backing the project and the confidence stakeholders have in its impact.
Messages of support from education, health, and traditional leaders affirmed the timeliness of the initiative. They commended the Church for complementing government efforts and demonstrating how faith-based institutions can directly shape community well-being. Speakers also praised Overseer Enyinful for his dedication and leadership in mobilising resources and uniting partners for the common good. Expressing gratitude to all supporters, P/Ovr Enyinful acknowledged the invaluable encouragement of the Wa Area Head, Apostle Bernard Abogorago, and his wife, Mrs Vida Abogorago.
