The Nima District of The Church of Pentecost, located in the La Area, has donated a modern four-seater washroom and additional facilities to the kindergarten department of the Nima Cluster of Schools.

District Pastor Emmanuel Abugre disclosed that the project, which began in November 2024 and was completed in June 2025, forms part of the Church’s contribution to community development under the ‘Possessing the Nations’ agenda of Vision 2028.

The project included the installation of four child-friendly water closets, the renovation of two damaged units, the construction of trenches and chambers, the laying of 26 PVC pipes, blockwork, and painting, among other improvements.

Pastor Abugre noted that before this intervention, children had to use paint buckets as makeshift toilets.

With the support of members of the Nima District, an estimated GHS 13,480.00 was raised for the construction, along with an additional GHS 800.00 for sanitation supplies.

The Ayawaso East Municipal Director of Education, Dr William Tyekpor, expressed his appreciation for the project, highlighting that poor sanitation has long been a major challenge in the community. He assured the church that the facility would be well-maintained.

The Headmistress of the school, Madam Bridget Ocloo, conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the church for its generosity and commitment to the welfare of the children.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by the Municipal Chief Executive of Ayawaso East, Hon. Abdul-Ganiyu Ibrahim; staff and pupils of the school; and a cross-section of ministers, officers, and members of The Church of Pentecost.
