In a powerful expression of Christian compassion and kingdom service, The Church of Pentecost, Dansoman Area, through The Other Sheep Ministry, Prison Ministry, and Women’s Ministry, has undertaken a joint evangelistic and humanitarian outreach to Nsawam Prison and Ahodwo Prison Camp.
The outreach, which brought together 20 participants from each District, reflected a unified commitment to evangelism, fellowship, and practical service to humanity. The team included Mrs Rebecca Adjoa Sey, wife of the Area Head; Mrs Mariam Tagoe, Assistant Women’s Ministry Leader; and Pastor Christopher Attuah-Yeboah, Area Coordinator for The Other Sheep and Prison Ministry, alongside several District and Area Executive members.
During the visit, the team shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with inmates and officers, followed by fervent intercessory prayers. The ministry session was marked by deep spiritual engagement, resulting in eight inmates publicly confessing faith in Christ, a moment described as a testimony to God’s saving grace at work within the correctional facility.
Beyond spiritual ministry, the team extended tangible expressions of love and care. Donations, including food items, bottled drinking water, and a Two-in-One Professional Wireless Microphone system, valued at approximately GH₵ 30,000.00, were presented to support both the spiritual and physical needs of the beneficiaries. The gesture was intended to enhance worship, communication, and comfort within the facilities visited.
The success of the outreach was attributed to the collaborative efforts and generous support of several individuals and groups, including Apostle Daniel Kojo Sey and Mrs Rebecca Adjoa Sey (Area Head and wife), Elder Alexander Taah, NEC Member of The Other Sheep Ministry, Deaconess Priscilla Ekpala, Dansoman Area Women’s Ministry Leader, Deaconess Mariam Tagoe, Mrs. Richlove Owusu, Mrs. Emelia Attuah-Yeboah, all Area and District Executive Committee members, and Eld. Benjamin Bruce, whose combined contributions ensured the mission’s effectiveness.
Speaking after the outreach, Pastor Christopher Attuah-Yeboah expressed gratitude to all partners and emphasised the church’s mandate to reach the marginalised with the gospel of Christ. He referenced Matthew 25:36, highlighting the biblical call to minister to those in prison as an essential expression of Christian faith.
The Dansoman Area leadership reaffirmed its commitment to sustained prison ministry engagements as part of its broader mission to demonstrate Christ’s love in both word and action.
