A jubilant atmosphere brimmed with joy and celebration as the Ashaiman Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Prophet David Kankam Beditor, and his family were honoured in a send-off service on Sunday, August 27, 2023. The event took place at the James McKeown Temple in the Ashaiman Estate District. A send-off service was held today in honour of the General Secretary-Elect of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, and his family at Akroso in the Asamankese Area of the Church as he prepares to officially assume the high office of the Church, come Saturday, September 2, 2023. The joyous event was officiated by Apostle Mike Etrue, an Executive Council Member and the Coordinator for the Eastern Regional Coordinating Committee (ERCC) of the Church. Teeming mourners involving relatives, prominent members of society, as well as ministers and members of The Church of Pentecost, paid their last respects to the former Finance Board Chairman of the Church, Elder Emmanuel Owusu Kissi (Retired), in a glorious funeral service held in his honour at Suhum on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Unlike the typical funeral service, which is characterised by an overwhelming display of emotions and grief, this event was instead a celebration of the life of a faithful soldier of the Cross whose life could easily pass for a template (role model) for all Christians, particularly officers and members of the Church.
