Saboba District Organises Forum For BECE Candidates

The School Outreach Ministry of The Church of Pentecost in the Saboba District, in collaboration with the Saboba Youth Centre, has organised a day’s forum for this year’s candidates for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the district. The event, which attracted 617 final-year pupils from 16 Junior High Schools in the Saboba District, occurred on October 13, 2022, at the Saboba Central Assembly of The Church of Pentecost. Facilitators from the Saboba Youth Centre, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), took the candidates through some areas of concern in writing their final examinations. 2022 BECE commences today; 552,276 candidates to sit for examinations

The 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) commences today, Monday, October 17. The examinations will take place at 2,038 centres across the country. A total of 552,276 candidates from 18,501 schools will be sitting for the examinations. This is 3.48 percent less than the 2021 entry figure of 572,167. The number comprises 276,988 males and 275,288 females. For this year, both schools and private candidates are sitting for examinations at the same time. Pentecost Preparatory School – Sawla Records 100% Pass In BECE

All seven students of the Pentecost Preparatory School, Sawla (PPS) who sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) last year have successfully passed. The PPS-Sawla is one of the few among the 43 Junior High Schools in the Sawla District to record a 100% pass in the final year examination. The seven candidates are currently awaiting placement in the second-cycle institutions. Mr Emmanuel Ekaatey, the Headmaster of the School, disclosed this in an interview with PENTECOST NEWS at Sawla.
