INVOLVE IPAC IN EVERY ELECTORAL PROCESS – EMINENT PERSONS GROUP TO EC

The Christian Council of Ghana, Eminent Persons Group of Religious Leaders in Ghana, has urged the Electoral Commission to involve the Interparty Advisory Committee (IPAC) in every electoral process leading up to the December 7 general elections. According to the Group, this will forestall any electoral tensions in the country. NLC URGES MORTUARY WORKERS TO SUSPEND INTENDED STRIKE

The National Labour Commission has urged the Mortuary Workers Association of Ghana (MOWAG) to halt its plans to embark on a strike. The association has threatened to strike from Thursday, October 1, as a result of failure on the part of the Ministry of Health to address their demands for improved conditions of service. Madam Elizabeth Yamoah, 57, the oldest Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidate for 2020, is a member of The Church of Pentecost in the Kuntanase District of the Agona Swedru Area. She was among over 500,000 registered candidates who sat for the just-ended examinations.
