Road crashes are the major contributor of accident-related deaths in Ghana. The Executive Secretary of the Bureau of Public Safety, Nana Yaw Akwada made this known on Citi TV’s Point of View. “Our findings indicate that 66% of accidental deaths in the country come from road crashes. This is something that people have suggested that it is a national security matter.” His revelation comes on the back of a series of road crashes recorded over the past few weeks. Madam Elizabeth Yamoah, 57, the oldest Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidate for 2020, is a member of The Church of Pentecost in the Kuntanase District of the Agona Swedru Area. She was among over 500,000 registered candidates who sat for the just-ended examinations. She enrolled at the Agona Odoben Presbyterian Basic ‘A’ Junior High School three years ago at age 54 intending to study to be able to read the Bible.
