Resident Minister of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), New Tafo Area, Pastor Ernest Wisdom Worlanyo, has explained that the Gospel operates in two dimensions: the Gospel of salvation and the Gospel of the Kingdom.
According to him, the Gospel of salvation serves as an invitation that draws people to Christ and reconciles them to God, while the Gospel of the Kingdom is intended to teach believers how to live disciplined and purposeful lives as children of God’s Kingdom.
He noted that many people often struggle to understand Kingdom teachings because they are not yet children of the Kingdom, urging believers not to entertain teachings that criticise the practices of the Kingdom.
Pastor Worlanyo made these remarks during a sermon at the opening session of the New Tafo Area 3-Day prayer meeting, dubbed “Divine Encounter” held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Area Revival Centre under the theme, “Unleashed to Transform Society Through the Gospel,”
Drawing on Acts 8:4–8 and Matthew 10:1–8, he titled his message “The Gospel,” explaining that the Gospel carries power because those who recorded it were inspired by the Spirit of God. He described the Gospel as God’s instrument for salvation and the total transformation of lives and society, adding that its carriers are noble people who will be duly rewarded.
Expounding on the concept of the Gospel, Pastor Worlanyo stated that it centres on the birth, sinless life, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, intercession, and return of Jesus Christ, stressing that any message that falls short of these truths is not the Gospel.
Pastor Worlanyo listed the benefits of the Gospel as forgiveness of sins, healing, hope, empowerment, glory, deliverance, and spiritual direction. He urged the congregation to remain steadfast in the Gospel in order to experience its manifold blessings.
