The Black Princesses of Ghana completed the host and win assignment on Saturday, June 3, as they beat Nigeria in the final of the WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations. The game at the Baba Yara Stadium travelled to penalty shootouts after both teams scored a goal each within 90 minutes of play. Stella Nyamekye opened the scoring for Ghana in the first half, stepping up from the spot after Comfort Owusu was fouled in the box. The Dreamz Ladies’ midfielder netted her fourth goal of the tournament to give Ghana the lead.
