NSMQ2022: Here are the schools that qualified for one-eighth stage on day 1 of prelims

Preliminary contests of the annual National Science and Maths Quiz (2022) took off on Monday, October 10. Twenty-four schools competed on day one of the prelims to secure a spot at the one-eighth stage. Amaniampong Senior High School was one of the first schools to get a ticket to the next stage. They beat St Monica’s SHS and Abuakwa State College to win their competition. They led the game with 57 points, St Monica’s trailed behind with 23 and 20 points went to Abuakwa State. Sunyani Senior High School, Northern School of Business and Nalerigu SHS also battled for a position at the one-eighth stage. Online education receives boost as KNUST invests ¢17m on multimedia equipment

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has set up a $1.3 million e-learning centre with additional ¢17 million in multimedia teaching equipment. Pentecost Preparatory School – Sawla Records 100% Pass In BECE

All seven students of the Pentecost Preparatory School, Sawla (PPS) who sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) last year have successfully passed. The PPS-Sawla is one of the few among the 43 Junior High Schools in the Sawla District to record a 100% pass in the final year examination. The seven candidates are currently awaiting placement in the second-cycle institutions. Mr Emmanuel Ekaatey, the Headmaster of the School, disclosed this in an interview with PENTECOST NEWS at Sawla.
