The Resurrection Power Signifies Eternal Life In The Ark – Apostle Fianko-Larbi Observes

Pentecost News
The Resident Minister for Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC)-Sakumono in the Teshie-Nungua Area of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Seth Fianko-Larbi, has proclaimed that the resurrection power of the Lord Jesus Christ signifies eternal life in the Ark above the raging floods.  He drew a parallel between Christ and Noah’s Ark in Genesis chapters 7 and 8, saying, ‘As the flood came during Noah’s time, Jesus Christ, who is with you and in you, will protect you like those who were saved in Noah’s ark.’ ‘Whatever comes your way as a flood, God is going to use it for your good. There is a rising in every aspect of your life; we are in the ark, and the ark is Christ,’ he said, while urging Christians to believe in the resurrected Christ. Apostle Fianko-Larbi shared these...

Koforidua Zone Climaxes Easter Convention With Powerful Resurrection Message

Pentecost News
The Koforidua Zone of The Church of Pentecost, on Sunday, April 20, 2025, joyfully concluded this year’s Easter Convention with a powerful service led by Apostle Mike Kwame Etrue, the Koforidua Area Head. Preaching the sermon on the theme, ‘He Is Risen,’ Apostle Etrue indicated that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. He affirmed that because Christ has risen, believers have a living hope and the assurance that they too shall one day be resurrected. Unlike other belief systems, Christianity stands on the reality of a risen Saviour, he stated. Drawing scripture references from 1 Corinthians 15:13-19 and Matthew 28:5-7, Apostle Etrue declared that death could not hold Jesus in the grave as He rose in glory on the third day, demonstrating the powe...

The Blood of Jesus Is A Powerful Defensive And Offensive Weapon For Believers — Pastor Amankwaatia

Pentecost News
Pastor Benjamin Kwaku Amankwaatia, the Buokrom Estate District Minister of The Church of Pentecost, has asserted that the blood of Jesus provides both protection and empowerment in the life of a believer, serving as a means of defense against spiritual harm and a tool to achieve victory in spiritual warfare. “The blood of Jesus is both a defensive and offensive weapon for believers,” he declared. Speaking at the New Tafo Zone Easter Convention on Good Friday morning, April 18, 2025, at the New Tafo M/A Division School Park in the New Tafo Area, under the theme, “Jesus Christ — The Lamb of God Who Takes Away the Sin of the World,” based on John 1:29, Hebrews 1:3, and 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, he focused on two key concepts: “Lamb and Sin.” Pastor Amankwaatia explained that the term ‘la...
Jesus Christ, The Perfect Sacrifice For Sin

Jesus Christ, The Perfect Sacrifice For Sin

Features
At the very heart of the Christian faith lies a profound and transformative truth: Jesus Christ is the perfect sacrifice for sin. Unlike any other offering made under the Old Covenant, His sacrifice was once and for all—eternal in effect and divine in origin. But what truly sets Jesus apart as the perfect sacrifice is His complete and total victory over all seven consequences of sin. Let’s take a closer look at each one: 1. Curse A curse is a spiritual force that brings misfortune, limitation, or destruction. It is the opposite of a blessing and can affect individuals, families, or entire generations. In Genesis 9:25, we see the biblical concept of a curse expressed: "Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers." However, through Christ, this spiritual...

Christ Has Made A Public Spectacle Of The Devil

Features
The apostle Paul, in Colossians 2:14–15, gives a vivid picture of how powers, principalities, and authorities were publicly disarmed and triumphed over by the cross of Christ. He extensively explains that, through the cancellation of our legal indebtedness, we have been victoriously set free and rescued from the dominion of darkness, and brought into the kingdom of the Son He loves—in whom we have redemption, salvation, victory, and the forgiveness of sins through the cross. The cross symbolizes and represents the redemptive work of Christ—the suffering, agony, pain, and shame He endured to bring salvation and reconciliation through His death and resurrection. The cross is the Christian’s weapon and tool of boasting in Christ’s sacrificial work on our behalf: offering Himself as an ...

Jesus Is God’s Seed – Apostle Nyamekye Reveals

Pent TV, Pentecost News
The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has revealed that Jesus is the Seed of God who was buried, sprouted, and grown to enable believers to bear fruit. According to Apostle Nyamekye, the death of Jesus marks the second time that God reached out to reclaim the surviving remnant of His people, following the gathering of Israel. ‘Jesus is God’s seed,’ he reiterated. ‘Jesus lives in us; He is the seed of God, and the most important part of the story was to bury Him. Through His death, He lives in us; that is Christ in you and me,’ he said. Apostle Nyamekye was speaking on the topic, ‘We Would Like to See Jesus,’ referencing John 12:20-21, during the Easter Convention in the Suame Area on Thursday evening, April 17, 2025. Expounding on Isaiah 11:10-12, whic...

The Controversy Of Easter And Its Significance For Christians Today

Features
Easter embodies the heart of Christian theology, presenting the ultimate demonstration of God's power and love through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This event is pivotal because it confirms Jesus as the Son of God and validates His teachings and sacrifice. The resurrection is seen as the fulfillment of prophecy, affirming Jesus' victory over death and offering believers the hope of eternal life. The Easter Controversy The Easter controversy, a significant event in early Christianity, revolved around the correct date for celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. The dispute arose from differing interpretations of the timing of Jesus' resurrection and how it related to the Jewish Passover. One viewpoint, primarily held in Asia Minor, suggested celebrating Easter on the 14th of Nisan,...
