An ultramodern Bakery funded jointly by the Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS) and the General Headquarters of the Church of Pentecost has been commissioned at Busunya in the Techiman Area. The Bakery initiative is a social enterprise project of PENTSOS with an overarching purpose to build the youth's productive capacity and create job opportunities through skills training. The PENTSOS Bakery Project is expected to provide direct employment to 150 people youth in the Church, function as a skills training centre to train the youth in bread making and pastries, and indirectly create jobs for over 500 people in Nkoranza North District. King’s College apologises for ‘harm’ caused to staff by photo tribute to Prince Philip

One of Britain’s top universities has apologised for the “harm” caused to staff after they complained about being sent a photograph of Prince Philip who had a “history of racist and sexist comments”. The photograph of the late Duke opening the university library was included in a recent email bulletin to staff at King’s College London. The Nkwanta Area of the Church of Pentecost is location in the Oti Region of Ghana. It was carved out of the Hohoe Area in 2012 with Aps. James & Mrs. Irene Asare as the first Area Head and wife. It has about 19 districts with a membership of about 47,000. The Area is one of the Missions Areas of the Church of Pentecost. In line with the Possessing the Nations Agenda of the Church, Vision 2023, the Area works to provide community transformation in Nkwanta. The value of mobile money transactions has more than doubled in the last twelve months, according to the Bank of Ghana. The total value shot up by over 120 percent from February 2020 to February 2021. On a monthly basis, the value of transactions from January to February saw a minimal increase of about 1 percent. This was contained in the Central Bank’s Summary of Macroeconomic and Financial Data report.
