Today, most of The Church of Pentecost branches all over the world are celebrating Pentecost. The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, has charged Christians to return to the ‘Day of Pentecost’ which is accompanied by the manifestation and power of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers. According to the General Secretary of the Church, Pentecost is the outpouring of the Holy Ghost with evidence in speaking in tongues, bearing fruit of the Spirit and operating with the gifts of the Spirit. The Black Stars of Ghana commenced their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on a bright note after earning a comfortable 3-0 win over Madagascar at the Cape Coast Stadium on Wednesday. Deaconess Agartha Odame, a member of The Church of Pentecost who fellowships at the Ho branch of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), has been adjudged the Best Midwife of Ho Teaching Hospital. The awards ceremony which was organised recently by the Ministry of Health at the Holy Family Hospital at Techiman in the Bono East Region coincided with the celebration of the International Day of the Midwife. Deaconess Odame passed the criteria for the award which included interviews and presentation of personal innovation in her practice among six selected top midwives from all the units of the hospital.
