The Ghana Navy has received two high-speed boundary class ships from the United States of America to boost its maritime law enforcement mandate. All active and unregistered SIM cards are to be deactivated and removed today [May 31] due to a directive from the National Communications Authority (NCA). The Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful announced the commencement of the re-registration of all mobile SIM cards on October 1, 2021, and the exercise was expected to have lasted for a period of six months but was extended several times for tangible challenges faced by SIM card users.
