As early as 5:00 am, heavy traffic congested Independence Avenue – Castle Road, leading to the State House, where a memorial service was held in his honour before his interment at Krachi, his native town. The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) has eulogised Apostle Dr Michael Kwabena Ntumy, a former President of the Council who brought a lot of dynamism and freshness to the largest ecumenical body in Ghana. Apostle Dr Ntumy, who was called to glory on December 27, 2023, was the President of the GPCC from 1998 to 2008. Korle-Bu Renal Unit may shut down due to indebtedness

The renal dialysis unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) is warning of a possible shutdown due to the facility's inability to raise money to purchase consumables for service delivery.  According to the Head of the Unit, Prof. Vincent Boiman, with every dialysis section, the unit loses GH₵380 which is accumulating as debt. Prof. Boiman says the situation is now affecting service delivery and may lead to the shutting down of the unit.
