The Tema Area Youth Joint Service was successfully convened, highlighted by an uplifting message from Apostle Isaac Nii Kotei Djani entitled “Be a Dreaming Pentecostal Youth.” His message urged young people to live intentional lives guided by godly dreams, steadfast discipline, and unwavering faith.
Drawing from Genesis 37:18–19, Apostle Kotei Djani highlighted the life of Joseph, known as “the dreamer,” explaining that individuals who achieve meaningful impact are those who dare to dream and refuse mediocrity. He emphasised that the future is largely shaped by the quality of today’s decisions and actions.
Contrasting Joseph with Judah, he urged the youth to embrace self-control, righteousness, and moral discipline. He defined a dream as more than a vision in sleep; it is a cherished aspiration or divine purpose that reflects God’s plan. He also cautioned against carelessly sharing dreams, noting that Joseph’s brothers harboured resentment after hearing his dreams.
Apostle Kotei Djani outlined principles for protecting and fulfilling God-given dreams, including loving righteousness, diligent work, starting small, developing personal gifts, maintaining a good heart, practicing forgiveness, and being rooted in the Word of God. Scriptures such as Hebrews 1:9, Ecclesiastes 9:10, Proverbs 18:16, and Psalm 119:9,11 were cited to reinforce these principles.
He stressed that character, conduct, and integrity are as important as talent, noting that many gifted individuals fail to progress due to poor character. Drawing from Genesis 41:46, he encouraged patience, explaining that Joseph’s dream took thirteen years to materialise. Concluding, he urged the youth to maintain strong faith in God, assuring them that every God-given dream has an appointed time for fulfillment, as affirmed in Habakkuk 2:3.
The service also celebrated individuals and groups who brought honour to the Tema Area at the National Youth Music Competition. The True Vine Choir of Community One District was commended for winning the competition. Dcn Emmanuel Opoku (KOEMMA) of Community 12 District was recognised for placing second in the Spoken Word Competition, while Esther Antwiwaa Brown of the Tema Greenwich Meridian District secured second place in the Senior Bible Bee Competition.
Apostle Kotei Djani congratulated the awardees and encouraged all youth to continue striving for excellence, discipline, and service. Pastor Dr Suleman De-Graft Issaka, the Area Youth Leader, expressed gratitude to the Area Head, his wife, ministers, and all supporters in the Tema Area for their continued commitment to the Youth Ministry.
