Fifty-seven students have successfully completed the maiden edition of the Certificate in Christian Outreach to People of Other Faiths programme at Pentecost University, marking a significant milestone in faith-based academic training and interreligious engagement within The Church of Pentecost.
The graduation ceremony, held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, formed part of the 17th Congregation Ceremony of Pentecost University and was organised through a partnership between the Other Sheep Ministry (TOSM) and the university. The programme is designed to equip believers with biblical, theological, and practical tools for effective Christian witness among people of other faith traditions, while fostering peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.
The ceremony was held under the theme, “Graduates Unleashed to Transform Cultures, Generations and Systems,” reflecting the church’s vision of raising well-grounded Christians who can influence society holistically through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The theme underscored the expectation that graduates will apply their training beyond academic contexts to real-life ministry and societal engagement.
In attendance was the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost and Chancellor of Pentecost University, Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, who commended the graduates for their commitment to theological training and their readiness to serve God’s mission. Also present were the Vice-Chancellor of Pentecost University, Apostle Professor Agyapong Koduah, and the Coordinator of the Other Sheep Ministry, Evangelist Abraham Addae Agyemang, alongside faculty members, church leaders, family members, and invited guests.
During the ceremony, the graduates were charged to faithfully apply the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the programme to bring positive transformation to their communities. They were encouraged to engage people of other faiths with wisdom, humility, and love, demonstrating Christ through both word and deed. Emphasis was placed on living exemplary Christian lives that glorify God while contributing meaningfully to national development and social harmony.
The Certificate in Christian Outreach to People of Other Faiths programme reflects the growing emphasis of The Church of Pentecost on intentional, informed, and culturally sensitive evangelism. The graduation of this first cohort is expected to strengthen the church’s outreach efforts and inspire more believers to pursue structured training for effective ministry in an increasingly pluralistic world.
