The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atiwa East Constituency has thrown its full support behind the nomination of Mr. Ernest Owusu Ntim, the current Constituency Chairman, for the position of District Chief Executive (DCE).
At a press conference held in Anyinam, the Constituency Youth Organizer, William Kyei Barfuor, speaking on behalf of the Constituency Executive Committee and ward coordinators, announced their unanimous endorsement of Mr. Ntim.
According to him, the decision to back Mr. Ntim was reached at a constituency executive meeting held on January 8, 2025. The executives cited Mr. Ntim’s proven competence, long-standing dedication, and significant contributions to both the development of Atiwa East and the growth of the NDC in the constituency.
They praised his leadership qualities, highlighting his role in expanding the party’s grassroots support, financing campaign activities, and initiating various social intervention programmes aimed at improving the lives of residents.
The executives have, therefore, appealed to the national leadership of the NDC to disregard any petitions or objections raised against Mr. Ntim’s nomination. They believe his loyalty, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to the party make him most deserving of the DCE position.
