As the curtains came down on Pentecost 2026 on Sunday afternoon, July 26, 2026, in Oberhausen, Germany, my heart overflowed with gratitude, wonder and praise to the Almighty God. What we have witnessed is more than the successful organisation of an international Christian conference; it is a powerful testimony of what God can accomplish through a church that remains yielded to the Holy Spirit.
The Church of Pentecost, planted by God on African soil and nurtured through prayer, sacrifice, holiness, evangelism and faithful leadership, has grown into a mighty African oak tree whose branches provide spiritual shelter, nourishment and hope to the nations of the world. From Ghana to Europe and across the continents, God is demonstrating that what is planted in Africa can become a blessing to the entire world.
To God alone be all the glory!
I would like to appreciate the leadership of The Church of Pentecost, particularly our dear Chairman, Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, for his visionary, Spirit-led and audacious leadership. His commitment to unleashing the whole church to transform the world continues to give the church clarity, confidence and global missional direction. Through his leadership, the church is expanding geographically and increasingly influencing global Christianity with its Pentecostal spirituality, missional passion, moral integrity and commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I also commend the Executive Council, the Missions Directorate, the leadership of The Church of Pentecost in Germany, the Pentecost 2026 Planning Committee, volunteers, technical teams, protocol officers, security personnel, media teams and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Your sacrifice, excellence, discipline and hospitality created an atmosphere in which thousands could encounter God.
The Spirit-filled ministrations of the speakers were deeply refreshing, convicting and empowering. The Word came with clarity, authority and prophetic urgency. Our hearts were awakened, faith was strengthened, lives were transformed and the church was reminded of its responsibility to carry the gospel beyond cultural, racial and geographical boundaries.
A distinctive feature of Pentecost 2026 was the powerful ministry of music. The musicians, worship leaders, singers, instrumentalists and choirs did not just entertain the gathering; they served as ministers of the presence of God. Through worship, diverse nations and languages were brought together before the throne of grace. The ministrations through music prepared hearts to receive the Word, created space for prayer and spiritual encounter, reinforced the messages preached and gave the congregation a shared language of faith, surrender and celebration.
The songs were vessels through which theology was remembered, faith was confessed and the presence of the Holy Spirit was experienced. The blending of African Pentecostal expressions with the sounds and languages of the global church beautifully proved that the gospel could take root in every culture while maintaining its Christ-centred and Spirit-filled identity.
As we look forward to the next Pentecost Conference, I prayerfully anticipate even greater development in the ministry of music. It would be enriching to see:
- Greater inclusion of songs and worship expressions from the various nations represented at the conference.
- More intentional collaboration among African, European, Asian, Caribbean and other global Pentecostal musicians.
- The introduction of multilingual congregational songs that can be learned before the conference and sung confidently by all.
- Dedicated music and worship workshops for worship leaders, composers, instrumentalists, sound engineers and church musicians.
- Greater space for newly composed Church of Pentecost songs that communicate our theology, mission and global vision.
- Stronger integration between the themes of the sermons and the songs selected for each session.
- Continued investment in excellent sound production without compromising the spontaneity, prayerfulness and spiritual sensitivity that characterise Pentecostal worship.
- The documentation, recording and global distribution of the conference songs so that the spiritual fire of the gathering can continue in local churches around the world.
Pentecost 2026 may have ended, but its fire continues to burn. The songs must continue in our congregations, the messages must become lifestyles, the prayers must produce action and the encounters must result in the winning of souls.
May the African oak tree continue to grow stronger. May its roots remain firmly established in Christ, its trunk strengthened by the Holy Spirit and its branches extended to every nation.
To God be the glory for Pentecost 2026!
The fire has been kindled. The church has been unleashed. The nations must be possessed for Christ!
