The Koforidua Area Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Deaconess Dr. Gertrude Ansaaku Yirenkyi-Antwi, held a special programme dubbed “Precious Time with the Area Head’s Wife – Mrs. Ernestina Etrue” on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Central Tabernacle, Koforidua.
The event brought together about 700 participants, including ministers and their wives, women, men, and Virtuous Ladies, to honour Mrs. Ernestina Etrue, wife of the Koforidua Area Head, Apostle Mike Kwame Etrue, ahead of their retirement in August 2026.
Inspired by Ruth 1:8–9, where Naomi blessed her daughters-in-law before departing from Moab, the programme celebrated Mrs. Etrue’s enduring legacy of faith, service, and spiritual mentorship.
Speaking on the theme, “Women Unleashed – Retreating to Have Precious Time with the Lord,” Mrs. Etrue encouraged women to cultivate a consistent and intimate relationship with God through personal devotion. Drawing lessons from Psalm 63:1 and Luke 10:38–42, she described Mary’s decision to sit at Jesus’ feet as the model of genuine devotion, stressing that believers must intentionally create time to seek God amid life’s demands.
She explained that spending precious time with the Lord renews strength, provides divine direction, transforms lives, and deepens fellowship with God, citing Isaiah 40:31, Psalm 119:105, Romans 12:2, and James 4:8. She urged participants to make daily communion with God a lifelong priority.
In his remarks, Apostle Mike Kwame Etrue underscored the importance of seeking God with humility and faith. He also expressed appreciation to the Area Women’s Ministry Executive Committee and the entire membership for their unwavering support and dedicated service throughout his tenure.
The programme featured fervent intercessory prayers led by Mrs. Philipina Yanney, a moving tribute by Karen Sarfoa Amoako of the Shekinah Worship Centre Children’s Ministry, and inspiring ministrations by the Area Mass Choir under the leadership of Pastor Isaac Ayisi Kumi.
As a mark of appreciation, the Area Women’s Ministry presented a plaque of honour to Mrs. Ernestina Etrue in recognition of her exemplary service and lasting impact on the ministry.
The memorable event concluded with participants leaving inspired to pursue a deeper walk with God while celebrating the remarkable legacy of a woman whose life has faithfully exemplified devotion, humility, and Kingdom service.
