
The Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Director of Education, Samuel Kwasi Tettey, has called on parents, teachers, and stakeholders to collaborate in tackling the rising issue of teenage pregnancy in the area.
According to him, teenage pregnancy has become a pressing concern in the municipality, necessitating a unified approach to address it.
To eliminate teenage pregnancy among adolescents in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, the Educational Directorate, As I Grow Organization, and other stakeholders have organized a conference themed “Beyond the Dreams of Teenagers” in Agormanya, Eastern Region.
At a conference held at Zimanman Presby church, the Krobo Odumasi Manya Krobo Municipal Director of Education, Samuel Kwasi Tettey, emphasized that teenage pregnancy has far-reaching consequences, affecting not only the education and prospects of the girls involved but also the broader social and economic fabric of the community.
Meanwhile, Nana Debrah Bekoe Isaac, Philanthropist and Leader of the ” As I Grow” Foundation, has appealed to community leaders and stakeholders to support initiatives aimed at reducing teenage pregnancy.
