”Make Time For Your Family”-Mrs. BREFO Urges Women

The wife of Darkuman-Nyamekye District Pastor of the Church of Pentecost, Mrs. Eunice Brefo has urged Christian women to make time from their busy schedules to ensure proper moral upbringing of their wards and caring for their families.

Speaking under the theme: ”Woman of God Unleashed to Transform their World”, Mrs. Eunice Brefo who was delivering a sermon at the Darkuman-Nyamekye Grace Temple to climax the weeklong National Women’s Week celebration, posited that transformation starts from the home where children are taught the word of God and how to live a morally upright life.

”Transforming the world means we are exposing the works of darkness, and we as the light of the world must exhibit a morally Christ-like character in our homes, workplace and market places for the world to emulate”, she asserted.

Giving a biblical reference from John 4:28, she recalled the role played by the Samaritan woman in transforming her community after her encounter with Jesus Christ, stating that women have a significant role to play in bringing total transformation to the world.

According to her, transformation of the world does not come by preaching the gospel alone but demonstrating Christ-like behavior in all spheres. She said ”we are living in a perverse and crooked generation where it is difficult to live righteously but we have to stand our grounds, uphold our godly values and principles”.

Touching on purity, Mrs. Brefo stated that in this contemporary times where pre-marital sex has become the ”order of the day”, Christian young women must be vigilant not to kotow to such act since it does not align with their godly values and principles.

She however advised young single ladies to invest in themselves, wait patiently on God and above all pray constantly for God to give them the right partner in his (God) own time.

This year’s National Women’s Week Celebration was characterized by various activities such as street evangelism, cooking competitions, donations of items to the less privileges’ and other institutions among others.
