The Tema Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Ankrah Badu has underscored the need for all and sundry to demonstrate an act of gratitude for the enormous blessings God has bestowed over the years.

Speaking at a thanksgiving and worship ceremony organized by one Mrs. Evelyn Adu and family over the weekend in Dansoman, Accra, Apostle Ankrah Badu stated that thanksgiving, worship and praise becomes relevant when it’s contextual, adding that the context is time.

With references from Psalm 100:3 and John 4:24 respectively, he asserted that it was imperative to give thanks and praise at all times. ”If you have nothing to be thankful for, cast your mind back, recollect the goodness of God in those difficult moments of your life and show gratitude”, he stated.

Apostle Ankrah Badu who spoke under the theme, ‘’Absolute Worship’’, posited that the time has come for true believers to worship God in spirit and in truth. He further mentioned the past, present and the future as the three avenues for which one has to show gratitude to God.

He said individuals ought to acknowledge the goodness of God based on their past, where they came from, their present status, how far the Lord has brought them and what He (God) will accomplish in the future.

He urged the gathering to emulate the likes of Job in the Holy Bible who, in the face of adversaries did not denounce his faith but praised and gave thanks to the Lord.

According to him, praise is not just an event but a weapon of the believer which must not be underestimated.

The thanksgiving and worship ceremony was organized by Mrs. Evelyn Adu and family to convey their gratitude to God for His protection, guidance, mercies and faithfulness the over the years.

Some song ministers including Rev. Bruce Ghartey, popularly known as ‘Uncle Ato’ thrilled the gathering with some spirit-filled worship and praise songs.
