The Haatso Area Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM), in collaboration with the Forestry Commission and the Achimota Senior High School, have planted more than 2,000 seedlings to populate trees in the Achimota Forest. A massive tree planting exercise organised by PEMEM at the weekends (July 12, 2025), led by the Area PEMEM Leader, Pastor William Amponsah Asiamah, and his team, saw students from the Achimota School and the Forestry Commission joyfully planting various species of trees to improve the ecosystem of the forest. In line with its efforts to preserve the environment and ecosystems, Pernod Ricard Ghana, a subsidiary of the Pernod Ricard group, a leading producer of wines and spirits, in collaboration with Green Republic Project has targeted to plant 10,000 trees over the month of June. The project was launched in Moree, in the Central Region, on June 5th, to mark World Environmental Day. Apostle Kumi-Larbi Urges Ministers To Plant & Nurture More Trees

Ministers of The Church of Pentecost have been encouraged to make it a habit of planting and nurturing trees as part of their day-to-day activities. This appeal was made by the General Secretary, Apostle Alexander Kumi-Larbi, when he planted a tree at the premises of the Bolgatanga Central Assembly on Friday, June 25, 2021, as part of a three-day duty visit to the Upper East Region. During his visit, the General Secretary saw to the planting of nine trees, three of which he planted himself. The Church of Pentecost has joined forces with the Ghana Police Service to plant trees at the National Police Training School, Tesano in Accra as part of efforts to green Ghana and preserve the environment. The General Secretary of the Church, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, together with the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh, and members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), on Friday, June 11, 2021, planted commemorative trees at the Police Depot to mark the Green Ghana Day, which saw the planting of 5 million trees across the country.
