Ukraine war: Oil prices rise as cap on Russian crude looms
Oil prices have risen after major producers agreed to continue to cut output and the G7 and its allies said they will cap the price of Russian oil.
Brent crude rose by about 0.6% to above $86 a barrel on Monday morning.
On Friday, the G7 agreed to cap the price of Russian oil at $60 a barrel to raise pressure on Russia over the invasion of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, oil producers’ group Opec+ said at the weekend it would stick to its policy of reducing output.
Opec+ is a group of 23 oil-exporting countries, including Russia, which meets regularly to decide how much crude oil to sell on the world market.
“This decision by Opec+ to keep the quota where it is… is by itself an implicit sort of support to the oil market,” Kang Wu of S&P Global Commodity Insights told the BBC.

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has urged Christians to live up to their divine role as light of the world to dispel the increasing darkness (evil) in the world.
According to Apostle Nyamekye, in the Old Testament, God used the Israelites to reflect the light, which is His glory, to the world. He, however, noted that the order changed when Jesus Christ came and instructed believers to be agents of change and the light to the world.
“Jesus told his believers to go into the nations to possess every sphere; with us in the world, we become the light of the world,” he stated.

Youth Ministry Launches Nationwide “Teens Evangelism” Drive
The Church of Pentecost Youth Ministry on Saturday, November 26, 2022, launched the nationwide “Teens Evangelism” exercise at the church auditorium of the Pentecost International Worship Centre, Kaneshie (PIWC-Kaneshie).
Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, the Patron of the ministry, who is also the Area Head for Kaneshie and an Executive Committee Member of The Church of Pentecost, announced the theme: “In Him is Life” (John 1:4) during the official launch ceremony.
Apostle Osei Asante mentioned that Vision 2023 of The Church of Pentecost aims at ensuring that every member is involved in a ministry space for Christ and sees the teens evangelism as one of the prominent steps.

As part of efforts to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in Junior High Schools, the participants of the national Junior Science and Maths Quiz (JSMQ) received a three-day tour of the various laboratories at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The tour included the Geological, Core and Rock Property, Power, Molecular Medicine and Microbiology Laboratories.
The rest are Product Development, School of Veterinary Medicine, Nuclear, and Mathematics Laboratories.

Three hundred students and non-students are participating in the maiden online leadership and coaching course by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
The 3-week course is being facilitated by the KNUST E-Learning Centre in collaboration with the Centre for Capacity Building and Innovation (CCBI) and the Students Representative Council.
Already, the Centre is facilitating courses in Data Management and Analytical Tools using STATA, Records Management for Agribusiness SMEs, Monitoring and Evaluation of Development projects among others.

Government to reintroduce road toll in 2023
The government will reintroduce the collection of road toll on selected roads in the country next year.
The reintroduction of the road toll is one of the revenue measures contained in the 2023 budget presented to Parliament by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta last week.
“The fiscal policy measures to underpin the 2023 Budget for consideration and approval by Parliament include the reintroduction of tolls on selected public roads and highways with a renewed focus on leveraging technology in the collection to address the inefficiencies characterized by the previous toll collection regime,” paragraph 462 of the 2023 Budget statement reads.
Payment of toll on public roads ceased in November 2021 as part of policy measures announced by government under the 2022 Budget.
