The 2022 All-Inclusive Seminar for ministers and their wives who have up to 10 years (2023-2032) to retire from the full-time ministry of The Church of Pentecost is currently underway at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa in the Central Region.
About 500 ministers and their wives are attending the seminar which is on the theme, “Possessing the Nations: Serving the Saints,” – Hebrews 6:10.
Officially opening the seminar on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, the Chairman of the Pension Board of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle John Appiah Aidoo, thanked God for sustaining the lives of the ministers throughout ministry.

Preliminary contests of the annual National Science and Maths Quiz (2022) took off on Monday, October 10.
Twenty-four schools competed on day one of the prelims to secure a spot at the one-eighth stage.
Amaniampong Senior High School was one of the first schools to get a ticket to the next stage. They beat St Monica’s SHS and Abuakwa State College to win their competition.
They led the game with 57 points, St Monica’s trailed behind with 23 and 20 points went to Abuakwa State.
Sunyani Senior High School, Northern School of Business and Nalerigu SHS also battled for a position at the one-eighth stage.
Sunyani SHS got the chance to move forward to the next stage with 19 points.

Nationally, 79,733 girls in Ghana aged 12 to 17 have been in union i.e. married or living together with a man according to the 2021 Population and Housing Census (PHC).
Out of this number, 25,999 are girls of Junior High School going age (12 to 14 years).
The regions with the highest percentage of girls ever in union are North East (13.0%), Savannah (10.9%) and Northern (10.6%) all with rates more than twice the national average (4.0%).

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, today visited members of the church in the Anyaa Ablekuma and Odorkor Areas who have been displaced due to the spillage of water from the Weija dam.
According to the Chairman, the visit was to commiserate with the affected persons, pray with them and assess the extent of damage caused by the flood.
Communities close to the Weija Dam, including Weija, Oblogo and Tetegu, have been submerged by a flood for the past three days after the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) opened five spill gates of the Weija dam to spill water to save it from collapse.
