The National Coordinator of the Home and Urban Missions (HUM) of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, has paid a two-day working visit to the Asamankese Area of the church. As part of the visit which took place recently, Apostle Kwafo met with Ministers and their wives, Presiding Elders, and the “Nation Possessors Group”. In his presentations, the HUM Coordinator noted that although the church is making strides in the realization of the vision of HUM, there is still more work to be done. He expressed worry about the non-acceptance of the vision by a cross-section of the church populace. Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, has paid his last respect to His Royal Majesty Nii Dr. Kpobi Tettey Tsuru III, the late Paramount Chief of La State. The wife of the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Mrs. Mary Nyamekye, on Wednesday, March 16 2022, paid a working visit to the Teshie-Nungua Area Women’s Ministry. The meeting which was held at F. S. Safo Memorial Temple at Nshorna, Nungua, was attended by women from the 26 districts of the Area. The meeting was also part of the National Women’s Prayer and Fasting Chain programme under the theme, “Equipping women for everything good to do the will of God,” taken from Hebrews 13:20-21. All seven students of the Pentecost Preparatory School, Sawla (PPS) who sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) last year have successfully passed. The PPS-Sawla is one of the few among the 43 Junior High Schools in the Sawla District to record a 100% pass in the final year examination. The seven candidates are currently awaiting placement in the second-cycle institutions. Mr Emmanuel Ekaatey, the Headmaster of the School, disclosed this in an interview with PENTECOST NEWS at Sawla. The Accra-Tema passenger train service will resume full operations next week after it was suspended for nearly two years, the Ghana Railway Company Limited (GRCL) has said. The Company said it had initially planned to resume operations earlier this week after series of successful test runs, but had to reschedule to next week after another test run on Tuesday, March 08, 2022. “We have conducted series of successful test run. The plan was to start the commercial running on Tuesday but yesterday there was another test run. The 15 public universities in the country are expected to resume full academic activities from today following the suspension of the industrial action by the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG). This is in spite of the referenda being held across the various branches of the association to ratify or reject the decision of the National Executives Committee (NEC) of the association to suspend the strike, which began on January 10 this year.
