KNUST launches GRASAG Research Fund to support problem-solving initiatives

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), through the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG), has launched the Research Support for Postgraduate Students at the University. The GRASAG Research Fund which happens to be the first of its kind in any Ghanaian University will provide support through research grants for graduate students embarking on research projects. The fund will aid the establishment and operations of a walk-in Research Support Hub where graduate students can find expert assistance with issues regarding their research projects. Nationwide strike: Teachers have failed to comply with labour laws – Fair Wages CEO

The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) has criticised the leadership of teacher unions – Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers-Ghana (CCT-GH) – failing to comply with the country’s labour laws before embarking on strike. Ghana has been ranked as the 120th happiest place to live in the world out of a list of one hundred and forty-three countries. In data published by the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford, UK in partnership with the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, the document released a combination of the global outlook and country-specific rankings on national happiness of the population as a whole by measuring the average life evaluations over the three preceding years, 2021-2023.
