Like the prophet Samuel, who spent all his life serving in the house of God, so is Prophet James Osei Amaniampong, who, right from school, was called into the full-time ministry of The Church of Pentecost, some 41 years ago. His glamorous retirement service took place at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Asokwa in the Asokwa Area, Kumasi on Sunday, August 21, 2022. The Parish Priest of the St Kizito Catholic Church at Nima in the Accra Archdiocese, Very Rev. Fr Nicholas Larsey, has appealed to the societies within the church not to antagonise the leadership of the church in their bid to have their say in the management of the church. As Christians, he said, it was inappropriate for the parishioners to be fighting their priests over issues concerning the church. Review free SHS policy to address challenges – Presby Church urges govt

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has asked the government to review the free senior high school (SHS) education policy to allow parents capable of financing some aspects of the programme to do so. That, the PCG said, was due to the fact that the free SHS programme had become a huge financial outlay which the government was finding it difficult to implement. African Peer Review disappointed in Ghana’s downgrade

The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) has expressed disappointment at the recent downgrade of Ghana's economy by two international credit ratings agencies. The APRM, which has the mandate from the African Union (AU) Assembly to support African countries in the area of credit ratings, said ratings actions by Standard and Poor's (S&P) and Fitch was unnecessary and risked worsening the confidence decline in the economy.
