Business News, General News, Ghana News
The Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana (IEAG) has expressed strong opposition to the recent decision by the United States government to impose a 10% tariff on imports from Ghana. In a press statement issued on Thursday, the Association described the move as a violation of World Trade Organisation (WTO) protocols and a threat to Ghana’s economic stability. It warned that the tariff hike could severely affect businesses engaged in international trade, potentially diminishing the country's global competitiveness. Mr. Samson Asaki, Executive Secretary of the Association, called for urgent diplomatic engagement between the two countries to avert a looming trade crisis. He is expected to provide further analysis on the implications of the tariff during a media interview later tod...

General News, Ghana News
Residents of Salpond Ankaful are grappling with a severe water shortage that has persisted for months, leaving many dependent on a single local pond or purchasing water from external vendors at high costs. The situation has significantly affected daily life in the community, making household chores and access to clean drinking water increasingly difficult. The local pond, once a vital resource, has become unreliable due to overuse and seasonal changes. Issa Allasan, the Assemblyman for the area, expressed grave concern over the prolonged crisis, citing a blocked main water pipe as the root cause. He noted that despite repeated reports, the issue remains unresolved, worsening the burden on residents—especially the economically vulnerable. Community members have appealed to both gov...

Ethical Decision Making: The Sources And Application Of Moral Law And Moral Principles

Features
Introduction  Moral law serves as a fundamental guide for human conduct, compelling individuals to reject evil and pursue good. Throughout history, philosophers have debated its origins, leading to three primary perspectives: human nature, societal influence, and divine authority. This article explores these perspectives, evaluates their implications, and distinguishes between absolute and universal moral principles in ethical decision-making.  Sources of Moral Law  1. Human Nature as the Source of Moral Law  Immanuel Kant, a leading moral philosopher, argued that moral law is inherent in human rationality. Jesus Christ, The Perfect Master

Jesus Christ, The Perfect Master

Features
Jesus Christ stands as the Perfect Master, reigning supreme over every aspect of life. His mastery is evident through seven extraordinary signs recorded in the Gospel of John, each revealing His divine authority and boundless power. In the Gospel of John, Jesus’ extraordinary deeds are described as “signs” (Greek: σημεῖα, ‘sēmeia’), unlike the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke), which refer to them as “miracles” or “wonders” (Greek: δυνάμεις, ‘dynameis’). John’s choice of the term “signs” highlights their deeper meaning beyond mere supernatural acts. These events serve as revelations of Jesus’ divine nature and mission, pointing to His identity as the Son of God. Rather than being just displays of power, they function as significant markers that invite faith and demonstrate H...

NSA Explains Decision To Deny Hearts Of Oak Access To Accra Sports Stadium

Ghana News, Sports News
Hearts of Oak have been left scrambling for a venue once again after the National Sports Authority (NSA) denied them access to the Accra Sports Stadium for their Ghana Premier League clash against Nations FC. The Phobians had hoped to return to their traditional home ground, but the NSA rejected their request, citing two key reasons. First, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) publicly announced the venue without securing official approval. Second, Hearts of Oak’s request came too late, making it impossible to complete the necessary protocols. With their home venue at the University of Ghana Stadium also closed for renovations ahead of the CAF African Schools Football Championship, Hearts of Oak have been forced to settle for the Tuba Astroturf for Wednesday’s game. This deci...
