The Bible College in Kasoa CP became a sanctuary of remembrance and worship as family, friends, and members of The Church of Pentecost gathered to bid farewell to the late Pastor Jonathan Amofa-Adade, 84, a retired minister of God.
The solemn yet uplifting service held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, celebrated the life and legacy of Pastor Amofa-Adade, who served God and his church diligently.
Apostle Derek Kwaning Mireku (retd) delivered the sermon on the theme, ‘Well Done, Thou Faithful and Loyal Servant?’ inspired by Matthew 25:19.
Reflecting on the scripture, he emphasised that God’s ultimate reward for believers is encapsulated in these words of commendation, which reflect a life of untiring faith and dedicated service.
Using Job 1:20-22 as a reference, Apostle Mireku comforted the congregation with the assurance that challenges, including illness and disappointments, are part of life’s journey.
He urged all to be mindful of their words during trials, as the life to come is far more glorious than the present.
‘The age at which one passes on is the fullness of the life God has ordained,’ he remarked, encouraging mourners to focus on the eternal reward in heaven awaiting faithful believers .
The late Pastor Amofa-Adade’s ministry was marked by a fervent commitment to evangelism and church growth.
Having served in Ivory Coast, Dodowa, and Kasoa, his impact was felt far and wide, evidenced by the establishment of new assemblies, infrastructural development, and spiritual mentorship.
The service featured tributes from various groups, including his wife, children, and the General Council of The Church of Pentecost.
Each tribute highlighted Pastor Amofa-Adade’s unwavering faith, generosity, and dedication to both his family and the church.
