“Kenyase For Christ Crusade,” a much-anticipated mega Gospel crusade being organised by the New Tafo Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the headship of Prophet Samuel Tetteh Doku, has kicked off at the Kenyase M/A School Park in Kumasi.

The event, which began on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, and will conclude on Saturday, November 23, 2024, with a medical outreach, is themed: “Jesus Christ—Life That Satisfies,” (Colossians 3:3-4, 1 John 5:11-12).

In his sermon delivered on the opening day, Apostle Victor Kwasi Asamoah, the Bompata Area Head, discussed how humanity lost the incredible gift of eternal life that God provided in the Garden of Eden due to sin. He stated that sin leads to severe consequences, including spiritual, physical, and eternal deaths. He pointed out that as a result of Adam’s original sin, all people inherit a sinful nature, making every human a sinner by default (Romans 3:23). However, he reassured the congregation that through Christ Jesus, this lost eternal life is restored (Romans 6:23).

Apostle Kwasi Asamoah emphasised that salvation is found exclusively in Christ Jesus, asserting that faith in Him is the sole path to eternal life, saying, “As believers, our lives are hidden with Christ in God.” He urged those who have not yet accepted Jesus as their Lord to do so to escape the fate of eternal death.

He concluded, stating, “Whoever is born once, of the flesh, will die twice—once physically and once eternally. But those who are born twice—first through physical birth and then through spiritual rebirth in Christ—will only face physical death.”

Other speakers at the event include Prophet Samuel Tetteh Doku (Host), Apostle Daniel Yeboah Nsaful (Old Tafo Area Head), Apostle Peter Dzemekey (Asokwa Area Head), Apostle Samuel Edzii Davidson (Offinso Area Head), and Apostle Joseph Danzrel (Achimota Area Head).

The rest are Elder Felix Atsirim (Presiding Elder, Mount Olive Worship Centre, Odorkor) and Elder Godfred Asare (Leader, Konongo Prayer Centre).

The opening day of the crusade witnessed a mighty move of the Holy Spirit as twenty-two people responded to the altar call, and all of them were baptised in water, with several others testifying that they had been healed of various ailments.
