The Bogoso Area of The Church of Pentecost on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, held a heartfelt appreciation service at the Bogoso Central Assembly auditorium to honour seven distinguished women for their unwavering commitment and dedicated service to the Church.
The honourees were Deaconess Mrs. Naomi Koduah Tismark, Deaconess Mrs. Martha Afriyie, Deaconess Mrs. Theresa Tetteh Djorbuah, Deaconess Mrs. Gifty Opoku Afful, Deaconess Mrs. Janet Aggrey, Deaconess Mrs. Rita Okwan, and Mrs. Vida Ofori-Adjei, the Pastor’s Wives Representative. Their recognition highlighted years of faithful service, sacrifice, and invaluable contributions to the growth of the Church in the Bogoso Area.
Delivering the sermon on the theme, “Before the Bema Judgment Throne,” the Dunkwa-on-Offin Area Head, Apostle Dr. Onyinah Gyamfi, drew inspiration from 1 Corinthians 3:10–15.
Expounding on the scripture, Apostle Dr. Gyamfi explained that Apostle Paul described himself as a wise master builder who laid a foundation upon which others build, stressing that no foundation can be laid other than Jesus Christ. He outlined two categories of building materials—valuable materials such as gold, silver, and precious stones, and perishable ones like wood, hay, and straw—representing the quality of a believer’s works, motives, and obedience.
He further emphasised that not all works are equal in God’s sight, noting that the “Day” of judgment will reveal the true nature of each person’s work. According to him, God will test every work with fire, symbolising divine evaluation and purification. Works that endure will receive rewards, while those consumed will result in loss, though the individual remains saved.
Apostle Dr. Gyamfi therefore urged members to remain steadfast in good works and faithful service, encouraging them to build on a solid foundation with enduring materials so they may receive their reward from the Lord.
The event was marked by gratitude, reflection, and encouragement as the Church celebrated the impactful contributions of the honourees toward the development of the Bogoso Area.
The occasion was chaired by the Bogoso Area Head, Apostle Daniel Frimpong-Manso, with support from members of the Area Executive Committee and clergy. The presence of traditional leaders, including queen mothers, added colour and dignity to the event.
