The Agbogba District of The Church of Pentecost on Sunday, April 26, 2026, held a retirement service at the Agbogba Central Church to honour twelve officers for their dedicated service to God and the Church.
The retirees comprised six Elders and six Deaconesses who have faithfully served for several decades, contributing significantly to the growth and development of the District.
The well-attended service brought together current and former ministers, officers, and members from across the District and beyond. Among the dignitaries present were Apostle Ekwao Badu Wood (Retired), Pastor Paul Adzigbli, Haatso Area Secretary, Pastor Moses Narteh, Haatso District Pastor, Pastor Stephen Ayerakwa Gyan (Retired), and Pastor Bernard Ababio (Retired), together with other invited ministers and guests who joined in celebrating the retirees.
The service featured a spirit-filled atmosphere of worship and thanksgiving, reflecting on God’s faithfulness throughout the years of service rendered by the officers. An exhortation centred on faithful stewardship and eternal reward was delivered, encouraging both the retirees and serving officers to remain committed and steadfast in their Christian walk and ministry.
As part of the ceremony, citations highlighting the contributions of each retiree were read by the District Secretary, Elder Emmanuel Yeboah. Among those recognised were Elder Enoch Offei Aboagye, who served for 32 years, Deaconess Margaret Dompreh with 39 years of service, and Deaconess Beatrice Berko, who served for 28 years. Their contributions spanned areas such as church growth, youth discipleship, infrastructure development, and Women’s Ministry.
The officiating ministers, led by the District Pastor, Pastor Yaw Agyenim Boateng, performed the formal act of retirement. Certificates of service and citations of honour were presented to all twelve retirees in recognition of their commitment and sacrifices. Special prayers were offered for God’s blessings, divine health, peace, and continued fruitfulness in their lives and families.
The service served as both a celebration of legacy and an inspiration to the younger generation of officers to emulate the dedication, integrity, and faithfulness demonstrated by the retirees. It concluded with a joyful reception, marking a memorable occasion in the life of the District.
